To be very honest, I haven't faced with my child yet. But yes recently a friend of mine, who has 8 months old daughter went through this. The fever just went on and off for around 4 to 5 days.

Hello , viral fever takes even 4 to 5 days to subside. So, follow as your doctor say. Don't worry. Baby will be fine. If required doctor will ask for a blood test.
