May b due to pests, dust, pollen allergy, change in weather, sudden change in temperature, any food or drink allergy. Kids might b allergic to particular detergent, fragrance, cream, soap or perfume. Might be any soft toy. Check all toys for fungus which gets deposited in some water toys particularly. U will hv to chek surroundings or if baby has visited somewhere to rule out options. My son once got asthma attack bcoz of birds in a cage at a frnd's place.

Yes my son had suffered from pneumonia twice. And had asthmatic allergy and bronchitis too. But doctor gave a medicine course fr 3 months after every serious episode. Thankfully under control now. It's usually bcoz of dust or change in temperature that he gets cough frequently
