#Pregnancy Stories:
It’s funny when people decide to project and say inappropriate comments to you to either see how you will react or because they genuinely have no clue how to talk to somebody. Today we did some shop hopping and the checkout lady commented on my belly saying “wow are you having twins”? And saying how “huge” I look.
Well everyone is absolutely different when carrying babies and has different pregnancies. For me this pregnancy has been more challenging than any other pregnancy. People aren’t to know that because they don’t show compassion in the way we know how or would show it to others and thats something we have to accept. Because we have all been raised differently and within different generational values and that’s ok
So what I have learnt and keep trying to apply to myself is accepting that others just say without thinking because unless someone is absolutely horrible they don’t mean to on purpose.
It’s a good way to look through a lense of love and live life that not everyone is intentionally coming to bring you down. That they just don’t think in what they say especially when they are strangers
Because I have found that helps you accept people for who they are and you get to CHOOSE whether to listen or to let it wash over you as you know who you are and what your boundaries are for letting negativity set in. By all means I am still learning to keep that balance but sometimes I do lose it. But I do always try to create that space of awareness
So if anyone else who’s experienced this your not alone. A lot of us do get this I did with my first pregnancy too and people just are either hurting and hurt others or aren’t simply thinking. Just remember it’s a reflection of them and not worth your soul to care about their comment.
