PROCESSED FOODS

To put it in easy words processed foods are a type of one food converted in other form to eat.

We can not avoid processed foods ever. Every food we see have been processed in some way. Even the milk we are buying goes through some process to reach you.

Also, it is not right to think that every processed foods are bad. It is a misconception. Because there are two types of processed foods:-
1. Ultra-processed

2. Minimally processed
For ultra processed foods you can take example of coke, chips, chocolates etc.

For minimally processed foods example are fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, meats, and milk. The thingsthat needs cleaning and removing inedible or unwanted parts, grinding, refrigeration, pasteurization, fermentation, freezing, and vacuum-packaging falls into this category.
So, we can say that avoiding processed foods are next to impossible.

We all are using processed foods one way or another.

You have to understand that ultra processed foods are way too dangerous to all of us. These foods contains :-
* Too much salt and sugar.

* High amount of fat:

1. Saturated fats

2. Trans fat
The calories it provides us are called 'Empty calories'. That doesn't contain any form of nutrient in them.
We all are very much aware about these things but still can't stop ourselves. Why because they are prepared in a way that our brain treat the combination of carbs and Fat like drugs. We are addicted to eat them.

Eating these foods gives us so much pleasure that it can be very difficult to stop in just one chip. These foods confuses our brain to release 'Dopamine' hormone that gives us the feeling of immense pleasure and comfort.

So, we might feel that eating these foods doesn't hurt our body and for the moment just think about the award it is giving our body. Pure bliss. But the calories we consume after eatin ultra processed foods are too high that it increases our body's set point and in result weight gain and obesity.

Ultra processed foods are made of low quality carbs, fats and proteins. Means they all are refined and stripped of their fibre and nutrients. Means what we are getting are only calories.
So, it is important to eat whole grain foods like: Wheat, barley, oats, quinoa, fresh fruits and vegetables, lentils and cereals, avocado, olive oil etc.

These foods example of high quality carbs, fats and proteins. They have all the nutrients in them that your body requires.
It is very important that you all try to choose and understand the value of eating healthy.

Don't rush into changing every thing at once.
