Pumpkin Kheer

Ingredients :
1. Pumpkin - ½ cup peeled and diced.
2. Boiled Milk - ¾ cup
3. Water - As required
4. Date puree can be used for sweetening however do not feed sugar / honey to babies below 12 months

Preparation :
1. Steam the chopped pumpkin pieces in a pressure cooker for 15 minutes.
2. The pumpkin will be soft and transparent and in puree state
3. Add pureed pumpkin in a pan and boil in low flame for 3 minutes.
4.Then add the milk . Mix well. Cook for 5-7 minutes.
5. Simmer and boil it until the milk absorbs the pumpkin
6. Keep stirring until the kheer becomes thick.
6. Serve once cool and feed with a baby spoon.

Note: Breastfeeding is advised until 12 months and beyond as it is a rich source of nutrients for the baby
