question for doctors in group...

i am highly obese mom. 31 years old. i have a daughter and into second pregnancy. while doing dual marker test the lab ppl are raising querries and saying age and wieght doesnt match and need to take sample again. just need clarification about this matter.

What they mean is that the age as per gestational age and the weight of the baby as per the test is not matching. It appears that the difference is on the higher side and hence they want to re check their results before advising additional tests. Discuss with your doctor but you would be asked to repeat the test to be sure. Additional tests can be invasive and may not be required
