well its difficult to say .. i think it depends parent to parent how they wanna raise their child .. and also on the circumstances surrounding them .. so its quite an open way of dealing with ur child. 

Parenting shouldn't be different....

will be happy if i can teach my son n daughter to be self sufficient and not have to depend on the opp gender- to cook ,clean, fix things, play sports, drive, raise kids!  n be able to take a stand, go out and face the world.

parenting style shud not b different.. both shud b taught cooking, cleaning, basic bike n car repair. Both should b given freedom equally .

Parenting should not be differentiated for a child being a girl or a boy, till a particular age kids have no idea about gender differences. After that age, the rules must be same for both, yes their understanding of concepts can be different and to explain that a different approach can be followed but the parenting style should not differ.
