Reading out storybooks, nursery rhymes, or novels to your baby is something that has been practiced for ages. Besides bonding with your baby, making them happy, and helping them fall asleep, reading out loud to your little ones play an important role in brain and cognitive development.
When you read out loud to your baby:

It helps your baby learn how to communicate.
It introduces your baby to new sounds, words, and numbers.
It helps build their listening skills and memory when you re-read the same stories a number of times.
The sounds, emotions, and expressions you make when reading out to your baby support emotional development and build social skills.
Showing your baby various pictures, shapes, or colours in the storybook helps them build their recognition and memory skills.
Lastly, it helps your baby learn something new every day.

So keep reading and keep teaching your little one !!!!

Hey @
There's no specific age to it . You can read stories and sing to your baby right from your pregnancy time . It's a great way to make you baby familiar to your voice , sounds and emotions and once baby starts speaking a few words you can make him/her repeat sounds and words that you read after you .
