It is considered to be genetic do not worry if this is happened but it is very important to check whether the implantation date and the date in your ultrasound is similar or it is showing that according to the last menstrual period you are more than 10 weeks and the growth of embryo is 7 week then this will be considered as a miscarriage it might happen due to genetic reasons so it is important that you get your genetic testing done and also you can get the tissue examination of this pregnancy if this is a missed abortion

A blighted ovum happens;<b>when</b>;a fertilised egg (ovum) implants in the womb (uterus),;<b>but</b>;a;<b>baby</b>;doesn't grow. The medical term is "anembryonic pregnancy". Sadly,;<b>when</b>;this happens, it results in an early miscarriage. ... This is;<b>when</b>;you may be told that the pregnancy;<b>sac</b>, which would normally contain an embryo, is empty.
