Recently I'm trying to schedule a sleep cycle for Shaista.
Trust me, it's not easy, being a parent you have to be mentally prepared for this. I started by observing her sleep cycle before we started training her. she generally has 12 hours of sleep. so I made sure to make her sleep as early as possible.
The day we started was not easy, it took her more than 3 days to adjust to the changes, like dinner before 7, changing to nightwear, going to bed and reading a book till 8 and lights off by 8:15.
Sleeping helps in mental growth, restores children physically, learn and remember things, and even boosts immunity.
Being a parent I have to complete all my chores before 6pm so that I'm completely dedicated to her till the time she is asleep. It was even harder for me as I'm not used to it but the next morning when I see my child is waking up early and fresh, it makes me feel like I have won a war with myself. Making the baby sleep is not only helpful for the baby but also to parents as we get some me time. Some time that we missed for like ages.
