Safety Precautions outside the House Children’s love to play outdoors. It’s our duty to make them understand right and wrong about outside world. Our intention should not be to create a fear in the Childs mind, but should be to make them understand the things as they need to be careful. Here are some safety precautions we need to take outside our houses:- Car: - There are special infant seats available in the car for the children below the age of 1 year, with proper straps & facing backwards. These Seats are extremely safe & prove life saving incise of car accidents. We usually carry infants in our lap which is not safe. The importance & utility of seat belts should be explained to child as they grow up. The safest place for the children in a car is centre of the backseat. Dog bites: - Children’s are vulnerable to dog bites. Many children try to tease or irritate the dogs. They should be taught to leave strange dogs alone & not to tease the dogs or stare into dog’s eyes, also do not run away from dogs. The best policy is to stand still. Do not disturb the dog while he is eating, sleeping or taking care of the puppies. Most of the domestic dogs are friendly, but even then accidents do happen & one needs to be cautious. Strangers Talk: - We should teach our children not to talk to strangers, not to accept any type of sweets from them. Also if they are going for any class make sure who is coming to pick them up. Teach them your contact number & address as well. Street manners: - Children’s should be taught about the rules of crossing the streets. They should be aware about the traffic lights & their functioning. Children should not be allowed to go out on roads without adult supervision. Garden manners: - Playground and park injuries are very common; they are integral part of growing child. Helmets, knee and ankle guards should be taken while cycling, skating & for outside sports as per requirements.
