School Tiffin Ideas for toddlers If you ask me, cooking in the morning doesn't take that much time, but thinking what to cook surely does 🙈 My mornings are usually hectic. Each minute looks precious in the 'mission' (yes, MISSION) of getting kids ready & sending them off to school on time! Amidst the chaos, I hate spending too much time, thinking & planning what to cook. To save myaelf some time and energy I have prepared a breakfast schedule for my kids. I have categorized their usual breakfast dishes in broad groups & made a schedule based on the days of the week and as per the food choices of my kids. This way it's not just easy to remember but for a not-so-great-cook like me who barely cooks a few items, this helps to avoid repetitions too.
1.FERMENTED MONDAYS
Our Mondays are all for Idlis, Dosas, Appams. I try to bring variation to standard idli or dosa by adding carrots or beetroot depending upon what I have at home.
2.TOAST-Y TUESDAYS
Vegetable Sandwiches or Bread Poha mixed with veggies like tomato, capsicum, etc - both are easy to make and easy to eat for kids too.
3.CHILLA WEDNESDAYS
There is a lot of variety when it comes to making Chillas – besan ka chilla, suji ka chilla, oats ka chilla, moong dal ka chilla. I try to introduce a variety every week.
4.PARANTHA THURSDAYS;
Initially it was Pancake Thursdays for us but my kids suddenly stopped eating Pancakes, so now it's Parantha Thursdays. Again they don't eat stuffed paranthas so I usually knead the dough using different ingredients like dal or boiled potatoes, etc.
5. FRIED FRIDAYS
We indulge in fried food once a week. So cutlets, bread rolls/pakoras, potato fries etc are a fav in the house. I use sweet potatoes for fries & add loads of veggies to cutlets to make them more healthy. So this way I maintain a uniformity yet variety in our breakfast menu. Have you also prepared a similar schedule to sort your mornings? Do share below. #themomsagas#thetwinsagas#BbCreatorsPost#bbcreatorsclub#BbcCreatorsClub
