SCREEN FREE ACTIVITIES #ojah #ojahactivityseries #screenfreeactivities
Everyone needs these reminders to keep our kids away from screens but still engaged in good quality play and learning time!
I'm sharing our top 10 faves / activities we like to do at home. Our most favourite is the last one!
Here's my list, and do feel free to add yours too in the comments below this thread.
1. Reading /Act Read to a friend or a stuffed animal or a toy.
2. Building towers and other creations using blocks and legos.
3. Learning to ride a bicycle 🚲.
4. Imaginary play with dolls, kitchen set, doctor set or any other manipulatives.
5. Water Play. (no description needed 😉)
6. Building a fort or a tent using bedsheets and covers. And nowadays Umbrellas are also used at our home!
7.; Coloring together. Bring out a big chart paper and start doodling on it. Possibilities are endless.
8.; Exercising together. Play some music, and get on the mat. Allow your child the opportunity to join you. Children learn the most from what they see and less from what they hear. Give them a good vision to be healthy and fit.
9. Story Time. Enact a loved story, dressing up, playing different characters, saying dialogues and most important having fun!; Hours of FUN!!
10. Our most favourite :- PRACTICAL LIFE WORK

Putting dirty clothes in the washer, hanging clothes to dry, helping mom in the kitchen, sorting and folding dry clothes, pouring water to drink, choosing clothes to wear, wearing them by self, and many more around the house jobs. It teaches them the importance of household chores and how its necessary to do these things to run a household and prepare them from an early age to become independent and self sufficient.
Thanks
