Self- Feeding Skills Part IV
Here, we come to an end of the phase of self- feeding skills from being at the inventory stage to now mastering all the skills required for becoming an independent feeder :)
10- 11 months: After motor grasp, comes better pincer grasp, observe your child doing finger feeding such as cheeslings, rice puffs, etc
12 months: Observe for independent spoon feeding, using whole hand, not so skilled at it though
12 months: Can hold their cup with both hands and take 4-5 consecutive swallows of liquid
12 months: Now, able to hold the bottle with both hands, your child can now tip the bottle as required to finish the drink from the bottle
15- 24 months: Observe your child at being independent for self- feeding and gaining mastery at their feeding skills

this is so insightful ruchita! come to think of it, at different stages our childoos attain diff levels of independence! first feeding, then being little assistants, then putting their clothes on, bathing, combing hair....these milestones sure make a mom proud. what say @6372999217d2c800158d8bec @63729cb62338f60015eaef4c @624bedd6781951001a0621e5 #tagfwd
