Sensory Bottles for Babies As the baby starts growing, he starts enagaging himself with the world around him. He begin to explore whatever thing comes to his hands and try to grasp each n everything lying on the floor.
He even starts holding bigger things as in toys, small balls, bottles... He is also getting familiar with the noise in his surrounding. So in order to keep the baby active we have to think some or the other ideas to keep them engaged. Babies this days are not fond of the same new toy which was brought for them just few days back. So?? in order to stop their crankiness we either occupy them with television or videos on youtube or games on our cellphones.. and here we make a mistake!
Maria Montessorrie have described babies under three years of age as absorbent minds. She gave this term with n explanantion that babies under three years of age are very active and they absorb each n every thing quickly... To use this phase of their life in a meaningful way is really important.
Coming to the sensory bottle.. sensory bottle can be made in many ways. you can even add various colors mixing with oil, you can add colorfull stones, you can also add colorfull jelly beans available in the market(the ones which we use for money plant).
I made sensory bottles with pulses n salt to make my babies recognize various sounds that comes with different things put in the bottle.
Materials i used:
bislerie bottles
chickpeas
sesame seeds
salt
white peas
mustard seeds.
1) what i do with them ?
At first when i used to give play time to my babies i used to shake the bottles to make them understand the different sound that comes from the same. now after 15 days they themselves play with the bottles shaking the same and enjoying the noise.
please b with the kids while you give them this sensory bottles as ther r chances that ur little munchkins might open the bottles and enjoy the food further. 😀😀
