SINK or FLOAT

Few basic practical life concepts are better explained with activities than just showing pictures, telling or reading.

We did this sink or float activity when he was around 3 years and started showing interest and curiosity.

.

Basic Requirements:

🥌 A transparent plastic box filled with water

💦 I have put a quick dry in case of water spill

🚣‍♂️ Some toys and objects - heavy & light

.

🌀 SHOW & TELL -

How a heavy object sinks and light floats on surface.

🌀 REITERATE -

Repeat with different object for continuously few days .. till the concept is crystal clear in mind.

🌀 ASK QUESTIONS -

Show objects and ask whether it will sink or float.

✔ POINTS TO REMEMBER -

Don't expect child to understand everything in one shot.

Keep explanation simple.. avoid information overload.

Remember to be patient.
