Here is a fun, easy and elegant hairstyle I tried recently and just loved it. It's quick and goes with pretty much any outfit. Especially useful when you have a curious infant waiting for every opportunity to pull a fistful of your hair!
I call it the Princess Rope Braid :D Because you will really look like a princess once you are done!
I don't have step by step pictures, but I hope I can explain or well
1. Take a small section of your hair from the front on the left side and divide into two parts. Hold each section in each hand.
2. Move the right hand section on top of the left. So the section which comes on the bottom will come in your right hand. Pull it tight towards you.
3. Add some hair to the existing section in your left hand.
4. Again move the right hand on top of the left.
5. Pull the bottom section which will be in your right hand tight towards you.
6. Again add some hair to the existing section in your left hand.
7. Move the right hand section on top of the left hand section.
8. Repeat these steps while moving from the top left of your head to the bottom right from behind.
9. When you reach the end towards the neck you will be left with the hair that falls on your shoulders. Tie the hair into a simple braid.
10. Now comes the fun part. After you finish tying the braid, take it all the way across the top of your like a head band.
11. Secure it in places with U pins. Since I have shoulder length hair I could make one band with the braid. If you have longer hair you will be able to make more bands. Each time you reach one end secure it with pins and take the remaining part of the braid across thi make one more head band.
12. Once you have secured the hair properly with pins, loosen the braid gently to give it a puffed up appearance.
13. If you have time, you can decorate the hair with pretty accessories like pearls, stone pins and small flowers.
Accesorize the look with dangler earrings. They will look really pretty with your hair tired up.
Done! Flaunt it at the next occasion or just dress up at home and feel awesome about yourself!
