#slayfitmama Simple and a super yummy breakfast idea. A very good post workout snack too and quick to cook recipe. Besan Masala Cheela For 1 big fat serving
2 tbsp besan, 2 tsp rava, 2 tsp curd, half chopped tomato, half chopped onion, half finely chopped chilli, 1 tsp ajwain , 1 tsp cumin seeds, salt to taste and water to mix. You can also add some chopped coriander for a nice herby flavour.
Mix everything except the vegetables in a bowl and add water to make a runny batter. The consistency should be of dosa batter. Mix well so that there are no lumps in the batter. Adjust the salt or any other spice if required. In a non stick pan, spread some ghee and let it heat on a medium flame. When it's hot, pour the batter, sprinkle the chopped veggies on top and spread gently with the back of a round ladle. Cook covered for a few minutes on a medium flame. When the bottom becomes slightly golden, pour some oil or ghee on the sides and flip. Let it cook for a few more minutes, till it becomes a bit crispy.
Once done, turn off the flame , transfer to a plate and enjoy! You can have this as it is or with a chutney/sauce of your choice.
Very filling, good for kids and gobbled in no time!
