SMURFS: THE LOST VILLAGE was made just for the sake of making it. Yeah, this largely disappointing movie might be a sugar-coated picturesque piece for the kids, but can test even the most patient of parents.
Leave it to the Sony animators to come up with unique stuff like roller-coaster hanging rivers, glowing bunnies, some cool insights about Smurfette, and an entire village of girl Smurfs. But sadly, those are the only nice parts of the movie.
One cannot begin to think about anything welcoming about the movie. Perhaps, a third into the movie, the story started to build on what would loosely be based on TROLLS.
VERDICT: Go if you have no other place interesting to take your kids to.
