Snoring often starts when pregnancy hormones begin causing nasal congestion, in the second trimester.
✍️What causes snoring during pregnancy?
During pregnancy, high levels of the hormones oestrogen and progesterone cause the blood vessels in your nose to open wider, causing congestion. Hormones also cause your nasal tissues to swell, adding to the problem.;
There's a link between being pre-pregnancy weight and snoring: the higher your BMI was before you conceived, the more likely you are to snore
✍️What can I do about snoring when I'm pregnant?
1)change your sleeping position.(try to sleep on your side.
2)change your pillow(Plump up your pillows and snooze with your head slightly elevated.)
3)stay hydrated
4) practice good hygiene sleep
5)avoid alcohol
6) Stick on a nasal strip at bedtime (they're completely drug-free)
