question
something really weird started happening since yesterday evening, baby's movements were not very regular and became faint. I was not worried because I thought it will pick up, since it did not how it was till morning I informed my doctor and she suggested NST. it was done 3 times b/w 7am till 11am. there were few times here and here where the heartbeat dropped lower than 120, but remained mainly above 130 and lesser than 150.

my doc gave me the steroids dose for lungs maturity. my question is that what should I be watchful of now? any spl precautions to be taken? I am feeling few trickles here and here but not very active kicking. started my 34th week yesterday. @Dr Shilpitha Singh , @Dr.Dhanya Prajesh pls help

Baby movements are very subjective and variable.. First of all they would decrease as you approach your due date as baby has less space to move... Secondly it depends on position of baby's limbs. If they are towards your tummy you will feel more movements and if they are towards your back or towards placenta you would feel them less... Thirdly while you are trying to feel movements baby might be sleeping and when you are sleeping baby might be active... Keeping all this I mind don't be so paranoid... Try to feel for an hr after meals.. If there are about 3 to 4 movements just forget about it for next 4hrs... Don't be obsessed with intensity of movements

By now baby would have developed a pattern, especially starting at times when you rest, like at night... keep an eye on movements and always trust your maternal instincts... take care dear...
