Ingredients
3 cups Rice
1 cup Split Black Gram (Urad Dal)
1 teaspoon Pistachio (Pista), blanched
1 tablespoon Roasted Cashew (Bhuna Kaju)
1 tablespoon Green and Red bell peppers, diced
1 tablespoon Pickle Masala (Achaar Masala)
1 teaspoon Kasoori Methi
1 tablespoon Carrot, sliced
Preparation:
Soak rice and urad dal in water for 4 hours.
Next, wet grind the soaked rice and dal mixture. Set the mixture aside to ferment.
Admix pickle masala, blanched pistachios, cashew nuts, red and green bell peppers, carrot and kasuri methi. Mix well.
Brush the steamer tray with oil and pour the fermented mixture into the idli tray. Now, place the mixture in the middle. Steam for 12-15 minutes or until cooked.
