And no...TV,Cellphones,radio ain’t the same,It’s YOU!The speech development of your baby in the initial years since birth completely depends on the family,babies look-observe-interpret n execute what they see & listen around.The more language interaction an infant experience,the larger is their vocabulary &higher intelligence.Babies soak up words n languages more faster in the first 2 years.Respond to ur baby’s babbles,appreciate the”Aaa-aa Baa-baa Goo-goo”sounds they make.Talk back, smile,make eye contact,nod ur head,let them know u r listening &that their communication matters,that we love to hear their voice.This will not just encourage them to talk more faster but also make them happy right back.By responding to your baby, u send an important message that what she is feeling n trying to say/act is understood by you & is important to you.Parents who neglect this,will not only have babies talk slower n later in life but may develop aggressive,fussy &cranky traits,as babies feel ignored.Talk,Hug,Kiss,Demonstrate your love,say those 3 indeed magical words”I love you”thousand times in a day.Remember it’s never too early and never too late to start.
