Teething, is one where your little one needs you the most, it is basically a phase where babies are most irritated, process by which a baby’s teeth erupt or come to surface, or break through the gums causing extremely immense pain. It is generally seen between 6 to 24 months of age. Symptoms of teething includes swollen gums, tenderness & irritation and the baby wanting to place objects or chew fingers in an attempt to reduce her discomfort.
Signs of teething in infants : •Teething infants may bite on their fingers or try chewing them to help relieve the pain in gums. •You will notice loss of appetite. •Sucking, drooling, irritability, crying, rashes around the mouth area, mild temperature, diarrhoea, runny nose, scratching or pulling ears, sleeping disorders etc.
If your teething baby seems very uncomfortable, try these simple home tips that are really soothing to your little one :
-Use a cold washcloth & press onto your baby’s gums. -Teethers are the best to use, freeze them & give it to your babies. -Use hard folds & give your baby to chew on. -Or simply use your clean finger & massage your babies gums 2-3 times a day, when you observe her in pain. -You can even use teething gels that are available in drug stores, they are absolutely harmless, can be applied twice a day!
Little story time : Simra used to drool a lot, used to have mild temperatures, diarrhoea and chewing on my fingers. I did almost everything to relieve her from pain, the best suited her was freezed teethers and ice cream! #youngmomjournal#bbcreatorsclub#teethinginbabies#momsadvice#mamaofsimra
