It’s exciting when things go the way you want them because one- it’s easy to handle the situation, two- you are prepared more than ever. But not always do things go hand in hand .90%of the time it’s quite a surprise and to have control of the situation is quite a task.
Well, thats exactly what happened during labor and here is my birthstory or rather to be precise “ That’s how Rey planned to arrive”.My pregnancy was more or less a breeze except for the first trimester which was more or less a nauseating phase, the other two trimesters were spent working overtime at office which kind of made me feel “oh not so pregnant”. For the records I had sleepless nights from 38th week along bloated feet. Stepping into 39th , then 40th and I was all ready to welcome the little one! No signs of labor and after going through a scan,I willingly decided to get induced though everything looked perfectly fine. And what day , labor kicked in as soon as I reached the hospital. And then it all started..I was only a cm dilated after 6 painful hours with contractions being 2-3 seconds apart. My doc was patient enough coz she knew I wanted to go for a normal. She recommended I do some walking and keep myself engaged. And guess what I was all the time Msgin my friends who had no clue I was in labor😂. Nothing worked after a good 14 hours which later turned to an emergency c-sec coz the baby turned breech. And rite after 15 mins , I was wheeled in to the OT only to have Rey in my hands 10 mins later!!! .That pure happiness of hearing my baby cry out for the first time was “The” Aww Moment.
