The Bliss of Babywearing: I came across Babywearing when my baby was nearly 9 months, and I can't tell you enough how much I regret not having found it earlier. I've met mothers who ask me what's the best one to pick, ermm.. well, there's not just one that I can recommend because each one comes with its USPs. To put very concisely:
Full Buckle Soft structured carrier-
This one has no learning curve, just strap it on, adjust the straps to your shape and comfort, and you're good to go. The full buckle comes with a band to go around the waist, the body panel to hold the child and then the shoulder straps to keep the carrier in place. The Onbuhimo-
Onbu, as it's called for short, is great for back-carry, is waistless, and can be used for kids of weight 7-18 kgs. The onbu may take you a few tries to get used to as it uses different body muscles to support the weight of the child. Wrap-
This is a versatile piece of fabric, ranging from 4-6 meters. A wrap can be used in different styles and knots. It can be used right from birth to toddler years, some wraps claim up to 25 kgs. Ring Sling-
These come with a slight learning curve, but once you get a hang of it, they're pretty easy to use for quick carry and take-outs, though can't be used for long hours. Ding slings can also be used from birth. Meh Dai-
These are like hybrids between a wrap and a full buckle minus all the padding. The lack of padding make them very breathable. They take a little longer getting wrapped, but feel like second skin.
suerb!!! for those who r new to babywearing..this is helpful!!

thanks Sumira, I tried to put in at least the basics because I made mistakes buying the wrong kinds in the beginning and understood along the way which carrier works in what way.
