The day's almost over. So are all our duties for the day. Are you exhausted? Because I definitely am! Mom burnout is real, and when it hits, it can feel impossible to pull yourself out. We carry a lot and are at the beck and call for our kids and family members 24/7, often with very little outside support or time to ourselves. Not to mention the constant comparison trap of social media where we are constantly fed the message that we are not enough. It’s no wonder that so many of us fall victim to burnout. The usual signs for burnout are - low energy, angry & yelling, tired no regardless of how much sleep you get, resentful of kids and partner. If you are suffering from mom burnout, please know that this does not make you a bad mom. We have all been there at one point or another. Overcoming burnout can feel impossible if you are in the later stages, but it is possible. You don’t have to live in a funk anymore, but you do have to be willing to make some changes to your mindset, routines, and habits. I've myself made some minute changes in my life and it has made life so much better. I'd love to share some changes that have tremendously helped me be a stronger person on the whole. 1. Lower your expectations.
2. Learn to say NO. (Align your priorities)
3. Get out of the house. (Even if just for 30mins a day)
4. Ask for help.
5. Take a self-care day. (Atleast once a month)
6. Don't believe everything you see on social media.
7. Spend Time On Something Just For You. (Get your old hobby back)
Although it can feel nearly impossible to break out of your funk, it can be done. The strategies outlined in this post will help you overcome burnout and prevent it from happening again in the future. How do you combat your burnout? Please share your points in the comments section 😊 I have had so much fun to share my little daily things with everyone of you today. Thank you so much @BabyChakra for this wonderful opportunity.
