The elephant story

You must be wondering why is this crazy woman wanting to tell a story by writing a blog on it..and that too of an elephant 🐘..well you’re confused I know but read on to know how this story has changed all our lives totally and brought happiness in just 15-20 days.

It all started when I told Simra this very little story wherein an elephant that came to our balcony & took away the internet..she believed but kids need proofs sometimes..so had to show her a wire that’s hanging disconnected on the road...She believed! She agreed! She was okay!

Few days went by..didn’t give her screen time..she was doing pretty good without out. But but would definitely ask when the elephant will be back..I had to include another character in the ongoing story wherein there was a giraffe..elephant’s friend who chewed away internet wire. She was like..I love giraffe,why did he do so?😩 I told her it’s okay mumma is with you.. then quickly a question popped..Why is giraffe helping elephant in doing notorious jobs? I laughed within..I told I don’t know..friends they are😁. So this way it went on for a week..and she was okay.

It’s been 20 days now without screen time..not even for five minutes..she totally forgot about the elephant story but her mama could never forget this life changing story.. it is we parents who are spoiling our kids with screen time..they didn’t knew about this..did they? no right.. how were we in childhood days? Do we find the same enthusiasm in today’s kids..the answer is no because we made them screen addicts.

🐘Plays a lot - messy plays, fun activities and educational activities
🐘Naps during day time for two hours
🐘Isn’t too much cranky and doesn’t feel lazy
🐘Loves reading books and listening to stories
🐘Painting, crafting, helping mama in kitchen and household chores etc.

I see a new little girl now. I am proud of what I did!

I took up this no screen challenge and changed mine & my daughter’s life..so can you..remember it’s never too late..never!
