The other day, I was talking with my friend about how beautiful my experience was about this motherhood journey right from pregnancy to having Preesha in my lap! ❤️
She shared her experience, claiming the entire experience to be beautiful, BUT she had one thing not similar to me, which struck me the most. 🤔
In the last Trimester of her pregnancy, she started noticing that veins in her legs started becoming too much swollen, raised & it appeared something like bluish purplish.
She thought its normal & will disappear once the baby is out. 🙄
But it didn’t happen that way, she started feeling slight pain often!
But since all of you wud agree, initial months for any new mom is quite exhausting, confusing & overwhelming. She forgot to discuss it with anyone, neither did she thought its important to see a doctor for the same.
But when she started experiencing the pain in her legs constantly, she told her husband, only to get scolded for ignoring it for such a long time.
They straight away headed towards the doctor, there they learnt she has started developing Varicose Veins, the reason might be due to weight gain during pregnancy.
Had she known it earlier, she would have taken precautions lik exercise🚴, weight control🧘♀️, lose clothing etc.
But nevertheless, it was not too late, they cannot undo the disease but at least they can control the symptoms by understanding more about the disease.
So, when they went to see the doctor, they were enlightened by him more about the topic.
That’s when I realised that this knowledge should not be hidden & I should take an initiative to spread awareness to as many people as I can.
So here I am trying my bit to help people know more about the topic, u can now learn more about Varicose Veins by joining the page named Vmove because Vcare created with an objective to create public awareness on Chronic Venous Disease (CVD).
