The Paed Visit-Experiences From Week 2
So post the initial in house paed visits and checks, Siddak was due for an official. Paed visit yday. After a reschedule that is.
We were on a clock since, there was a ceremony back home too. While my experience is completely subjective, I thought I'd pen down few vitals related to how best to deal with paed checks -- esp the opening visit--that could get overwhelming.
1. Make sure you get comfortable transport. Your own car is best but otherwise make an effort to get a cab atleast. No public transport with a newborn.
2. Specify the newborn status while taking the appo.; this helps you get preference of there aren't any others around your baby's age group, when at the wiating lounge.
3. Make a tradtional listicle -- having all questions that you could possibly ask.; Silliest ones too.; Your mom in law will laugh at them. Not your paed. I'll upload my list for new and would be moms.
4. Make sure to carry all documents of the baby and discuss further medications,; vaccine schedules, diet and babycare.
5. Carry some snacks and Water for sure.; This tip is something @asha chaudhry di suggested to me and i found it a boon.
talk clear and have a free conversation with the paed. It's you who will have to open up with him since this first visit will be the beginning of countless visits over many many years to come. #kolkatamoms #babychakramoms #babychakrababy #paedvisit #firstappo #tips #newmoms

Very helpful. Even I used to make a list of all my queries and doubts. My DD will be sleeping till we are waiting for our turn. once we enter the doctor's room, she will start crying. When I hear her crying I could not concentrate on what I wanted to ask with the doctor. I terribly wanted to get out of the doctors room and sooth my lo.
