The worldwide outbreak of corona-virus 🦠has made us confined to our 🏘 with cities and even entire countries under lockdown 🔒 . As living under a lock down is a constrain we face for now, it’s important to find ways to make the most of this time not only to keep ourselves sane 😊but also to help boost our immunity.💪🏻
How can we maintain a new routine? Include the following activities as a part of your routine and see how you efficiently sail through the lockdown:
1) Physical workout: Our physical health has a big impact on how we feel and vice versa. Hence, it is important to take good care of our body by not only eating well balanced meals, drinking enough water but most importantly doing regular exercises. Lot of different forms of workouts, yoga, stretching exercises etc can be performed depending on your age and pre-existing health conditions.🏃♀️🏃🤸🏻♂️🤸🏼
2) Mental workout: Concern about the outbreak is normal but constantly updating yourselves and reading about it may not help. Try checking or getting information only once or twice a day. Incorporating a habit of talking positive things or just another topic after virus talks would be a good mental exercise. Doing meditation and breathing/relaxing exercises is a good way of mental workout especially when we are completely indoors.😇🧘♀️
3) Social work out: Man is a social animal so we need social interaction for mental and emotional well-being. You can stay connected with family, friends, relatives or even old friends through phone calls, video calls etc. It’s relieving to talk about or share your worries with people you trust and doing so may help them too. If that does not help you can connect with us to assist you better.👩🏼💻👨🏼💻
4) Work time: Many of us are working from home so put aside special time for it. If not then it’s a good opportunity to brush up some skills through online study/courses or students can even have an online study session with classmates etc.👩🏼🏫
5) Surfing time/connecting with the world: As we have availability of time it’s not uncommon to get addicted to our devices, binge watching, surfing or gaming. Important we restrict this to a particular time and it’s a good opportunity to remove time for those old lost hobbies or some reading time.🎞👨🏻🍳🎤🎨🖥
6) Bonding time: The confinement at home can be a good opportunity to work on relationship issues whether it is an old unresolved dispute, a pending parent child talk or a couple talk. Playing, doing house chores or listening to music/watching TV together might be few interesting activities to try out.👨👩👧👧👫
