There are certain things ... let's say myth told by our in-laws... Like not to cut lauki pumpkin watermelon etc etc but not apply mehendi or Alta during pregnancy...; :(; . Do I need to pay attention or can I just go ahead and live my life. I have a wedding function in next week... Can I at least apply mehendi on my hands...

I won't say believe all the things that elders tell. But sometimes there are hidden benefits behind their suggestions. After all they have seen more world and expereinced more than us. Not applying mehendi is usually said because it is very cool and the coolness of mehendi sometimes causes cold in some women.(now this was for orginal mehendi that we used; to get from trees, aajkal toh sab artificial he. And chemical based toh aur avoid karna chaiye) Just my lookout.
PS: suno kya kehtey he and accordingly decide k kya follow karna he kya nahi.
Pumpkin aur watermelon wala toh kuch b he.

Listen only to your doctor when it comes to pregnancy. There are hell lot of Old wives myths and dos and donts listed related to pregnancy. If you keep listening to all....you ll go mad in the 9 months and thereafter..
