Hai Megha... Don't worry.. skin ailments are common in babies. As baby skin don't have a strong immune system. Good that it's not spreading and itching. I feel baby will sleep most of the time on that side. And due to sweat allergies have increased. Don't worry it will reduce.
Get "Castor oil" and massage baby with it. ( careful oil will be very slippery Nd sticky) It will immediately hydrated skin and prevent from further drying and breakouts. Don't use too hot water for bath, but Luke warm. Give a quick bath with less bodywash. Use mild baby wash and moisturiser. You can use Mamaearth available here on baby chakra or use "Dove". It's good than Himalayas. Don't use powder on babies ( use only below neck or back and not on face) Use ointment given by doctor. wipe baby mouth after every feed. Change clothes often so that baby will feel fresh and you can avoid sweat. During feed wipe baby head and face...as most of the babies sweat. Change bedspreads, blanket and used towels alternative days or daily. Don't worry it will reduce. After curing also.. apply doctor prescribed ointment for 2 more days. Please use " Castor oil".
