There was a time when I thought I couldn't do anything besides being a mother to my 2 boys. Guilt creeped in every time I thought I should go back to work, pursue a hobby, go out just on my own or do something for myself. 'How can you leave them with someone else? They need their mum!' This statement would ring in my ears and my would revolve around my kids.
Then one day, I began to 'itch'. I would get up at night and itch, itch while bathing, itch all the time.No cream, oil or lotion worked. Finally, I realised that itch meant. It meant doing something of my own, something that didn't involve the kids. Music has always been my calling. I have been a abhang and bhajan performer for years, but then took a break after marriage because of....well you understand. Now, after a long hiatus, I got a chance to reconnect with performing again.
It wasn't easy. Took a lot of shaking up, juggling of time, practicing in the bathroom and plenty of support from family. But it happened and now there's no turning back. So ladies, do that lil something, whatever it takes. Be badass! So if a song represents your life right now, which one would it be? Mine is "I'm bad, I'm bad" from Micheal Jackson. What's yours ladies? #Mommytakeover@Priya Sood

Truly inspiring!! I learnt sangeetam from age 6, I know the importance of this..music relaxes my mind, whenever I get time I sing loudly. My baby doesn't need a mobile or youtube, I myself sing so many songs for him 🤦
