This morning , a garbage picker of our society came to pick the garbage from my house .After collecting the garbage she said, "didi, after dusting and mopping your house, place camphor in all the corners of your house to get rid of corona virus. And she continued -see, the society management has given this mask... but what is the use of this mask?

That's why I always keep a ball of camphor in my mask. Have you ever seen me suffering from cough and cold .. And after collecting the garbage from all the houses , I wash my hands with phitkari (alum). It has an antiseptic property.

I was dumbstruck for a while.so true, I felt.

Some time back when we were on Europe tour, the tour operator had provided us with camphor , in case , if we had a breathing problem on higher altitudes of Alps.

Also I had never seen my father using any antiseptic like dettol to treat the cut wounds, in case , if any after shaving. He always smeared the wound with alum .

Why have we created such a hue and cry of the situation? - sanitizer not available , antiseptic lotions not available, this is not available , that is not available and so on.

Why don't we think of simple solutions. Though , I had studied about the properties of alum and camphor in my school and college days - why was I not able to apply it ? The lady who is hardly literate knows better use of them. Has my qualification dented my thinking and analysing ability. Or because all such things are easily available .. we never think of it.Whatever the reason be.

Today , I learned a lesson , any degree or qualification doesn' t hold any relevance to intelligence..
