Tips to encourage kids in writing
Writing is a very important part of our life. Journey of writing should be encouraged since childhood.before kids learn to write and even hold pencil it is very important to develop their motor skills.Their grip should be tied they should involve in physical activities like catching,climbing this will encourage in develop shoulder and hand muscles.
Here are few tips to encourage your kids in writing
🌺 Scribbling- It is one of the best idea to encourage kids in writing. Give them empty copy and pencil and let them scribble wherever they want in the copy. It will encourage them in both writing and drawing.
🌺Tracing- after scribbling we should start involving our kids in tracing.scribbling will help to maintain the grip of holding a pencil and tracing will helps in writing. Just make few dots in a copy and tell your child to join those dots.
🌺Lines and shapes-At this stage, formally introduce lines and shapes (Sleeping line, standing line, slanting line, circle etc.)It is good to have a handful of tracing sheets with you.
🌺Writing his name- The best way to make the activity of writing interesting to your child is to begin with teaching him how to write his name. Tell him about the different letters that make up his name and .With a pencil ,you can help him to write his name .
Don't limit him to write with pencil and pen only.In starting days to encourage him in writing you should try to make writing interesting and fun so that your child enjoy writing
Print the letters on playdough
-;Write on sand
- Use magnetic letters on a whiteboard
- Paint letters and numbers.Dip your kids finger in paint and let him write on paper.
- Always keep pencils, crayons, and papers easily accessible;
- Play games that involve writing - i.e. missing letter/missing number in the sequence
