Today is World Milk Day! Are we drinking required amount of milk daily or taking in our daily share of dairy products? On the other side of this, I want to know why only we humans drink other mammals milk, why there is such a need? why other animals don't need milk once they are grown up? Don't u think we are snatching that precious milk which is meant just for the calf? Having said that, it seems quite impossible to stop taking milk n milk products. is it? Want to hear ur point of view!

very interesting topic indeed.. milk contributes a lot to our daily diet.. we can avoid milk but living without some other milk products can't b sometimes possible.. can't even think that I would never get paneer, sweets, ghee and butter to eat
At our home town.. when cow gives birth..we don't drink milk for a month..rather it's left for the calf.. I guess this is fine enough.. although after that we cease milk from the calf.. and honestly speaking I have never thought about it in this way before.. being a mom makes us think such..

@Neha sharma I don't diet or skip a meal ever. In fact volume intake has increased. I just eat differently and this was under the guidance of The Health Awareness Center here in Mumbai, founded by Dr Vijaya Venkat. It has been a life changing experience!

So I have a case of chronic PCOS which is very annoying..almost ever since I attained puberty. Giving up milk, wheat and processed foods completely, going high on raw fruits, dry fruits and vegetables, along with cooked vegetables, pulses has helped me regain hormonal balance to a great extent. I have been able to give up medicines after 18 years! Even issues like bloating, blackheads, mouth ulcers etc have disappeared. I am still on the corrective path and my hormones swing between extreme peaks in the same month. However, now I feel lighter and comfortable with myself. This has happened with a lot of discipline though... Initially it takes a bit of control but over time, it becomes a habit. Once you have experienced positivity, it is hard to go back to your old life again. Inputs: food and oxygen are super critical along with a minimum of 8 hrs of sleep everyday! I still have a long way to go...
Btw a report by a company called Xcode which deals with genetics has reported that 80% of Indians are lactose intolerant but they are unaware.
