According to one study, the depth and length of playtime with four toys was better than 10-15 toys. Which means fewer toys actually improves cognitive development also sustained play is enhanced with lesser toys. . With few toys, kids tend to play more and much varied ways. Too many toys actually reduces the quality of play and they get easily bored. Studies has also showed that having many toys causes distractions easily. So, with lesser toys kids play longer, when there are fewer toys available. Hence science confirms that kids are happier with fewer toys..and I couldn’t agree more with this. . What you can do is? 🧸 Give them few toys to play on a daily basis (when they are bored with them, offer one more..but not too many) 🧸Give them different set of toys 🧸Sound effect toys are a no no 🧸Give them educational toys or puzzles 🧸Toys should be of subtle colours and that has no batteries in it
Little story time - I have realised it lately that Simra doesn’t love playing with many toys..so I stopped buying toys for her. I rather prefer buying books, puzzle or educational toys or any one toy occasionally. Because she plays with very few toys..all others are just to be spread throughout the house.
Yes sadaf u r ryt. I read it somewhere that too many toys create distraction so it's better to give not more than 2 or 3 toys at a time. Nice post. Thanks for sharing😊
