Whenever I see a new brand, I surf on internet and social platforms for review. This is one of the best ways to figure out the real value of products.
Apart from that I check the ingredients and check if there is any harmful chemicals
And yes, few influencers and YouTubers influence our purchases.
For example I am a big fan of shitty ideas trending channel and most of the time they brand mom's & co. So knowingly or unknowingly I started trying that brand
