Turbo is a 2103 Dreamworks animation that circles around Theo, a car racing fanatic, whose quirky dream is to one day compete in the Indy 500. And boom, there you have it – he actually gets sucked into a drag-racing car & his DNA gets altered due to the impact of nitrous oxide. Realizing the next day that he indeed possesses the super speed of a race car, he renames himself “Turbo.” In an attempt to save his brother from a crow, he astounds both humans and his community. With his friends’ encouragement & the help of a few humans, he earns a ticket into the Indy 500 & all this seems possible as Turbo was able to impress his idol, Guy Gagné. But Turbo’s brother maintains a skeptical attitude throughout, mainly for fear of his safety.

What follows is the Indy 500 race, the cheering, the trepidation, the last-minute electrifying performance between the envious Guy Gagne and sincere Turbo.

Yes, of course, it is predictable as to who takes home the trophy – but that’s how you keep the children entertained and ecstatic. The faint issue is if the movie could be raising the hopes of youngsters to an extent where they suppose that no dream is too big to achieve. After all, a fish can’t climb a tree nor can an elephant fly. Nonetheless, a fine movie to pick for a family night.
