Two Lego movies in a single year! My 6-year old had been anxiously waiting to watch THE LEGO NINJAGO MOVIE & today was the day. I would consider this just a teeny weeny above average (maybe ’cause The Lego Batman Movie had set an exceptional benchmark, & Lego Ninjago was clearly struggling to match its predecessor movies).
Fortunately, this movie has been rated PG – butt jokes, anyone?
The creators seamlessly fit in a real cat into a Lego movie as the monster destroying the city . Though the animation was remarkably absorbing, it could have probably done better in story and humour.
Nonethless, the ‘father against son’ turning into a father-son emotional switch was quite moving to watch. Two more Lego movies out in 2019!
