Sleep is the most important part for your child’s development because its when your child’s brain: learn, grow and develop. Baby sleep is complicated and their sleep cycles are different than the adults.
So remember:-
**It’s going to take some time for your baby’s internal clock to kick in. **Newborns need to be fed every 2-3 hours so it’s normal for them to wake up more often as they may be hungry. It gets better as they get older. **a well rested baby is easier to put to sleep so don’t overtire your baby. **naps are important don’t drop them. With all the activity they do its very important for them to rest. **keep the day time naps bright and with all the normal noises that goes around and make night times dark and quiet, so your baby will start to understand the difference between day and night. **Keep the night time wakes boring, keep the lights dim, avoid eye contact, feed and pat them back to sleep. Don’t talk or start playing with your baby when they are awake at night. It will be hard for you to put them back to sleep. **with any new milestones achieved their sleep schedule will be disturbed as they would want to practice all that. Remember it’s just a phase and your baby will start sleeping again. **they will be difficult to put to sleep when they are sick. **don’t stuff your baby with milk to make them sleep longer. It will only make them uncomfortable and difficult to rest well. **most important sleep and rest when your baby sleeps.it will help your from getting overtired if you have any bad nights getting your baby to sleep.
Have patience one day you will have a whole nights sleep and you will not even know.
