Hello my dear lovely mom's this is one of the my fravouite snack. This is my mom recipe.
ingridents
Rice - 1 cup soaked for 4 hr
chana dal - 4 tbsp soaked for 20 mins
Butter - 1 tbsp
salt as per taste
onion 1
curry leaves - few
ginger paste 1 tbsp
green chillies/ red chilly power
First take the 1 cup of rice soaked for 4 hr and strain it dry for 30 mins and grind it. Now our rice flour is ready.( Now a days rice flour is avalible in market)
Take a bowl add rice flour, salt (chilli power if your add )mix the dry mixture. Take the blender put ginger, curry leaves and green chillies(if your add chilli power not add green chillies in the blender) and grind it to a fine paste.
Now add online pices and this paste to flour along with chana dal and butter mix it well.
Now ready the dough and make small balls. And take plastic sheet and press it with your palm.
Take the pan and pour the oil into pan once heat the oil in doughing deep frying.
Allow it cook on medium flame.
Now ready your testy uppu chekkalu seved it along with tea.
Note: oil has rech its corret temp and add Uppu chekkalu slowly.
