Ingredients :
Homemade Urad dal flour - ¼ cup
Homemade Ghee - 2 tsp or as needed
Water - ½ cup
Date puree can be used for sweetening however do not feed sugar / honey to babies below 12 months
Preparation :
In a pan take the urad dal flour and cook in medium flame for 5 to 8 minutes
Stir it continuously while cooking otherwise it may stick to the vessel.
Add oil or ghee little by liitle and Continue stirring for 3-5 minutes or till the halwa forms a mass leaving the sides of the pan.
At this stage, add ghee and give a quick stir. Add date puree if required as a sweetener .Switch it off once done.
Note: Breastfeeding is advised until 12 months and beyond as it is a rich source of nutrients for the baby
