Vegetable Upma for Toddlers
#healthybreakfast

Making them eat same old breakfast daily can be boring..trying something new each time is a win win situation for me. Simra isn’t a upma lover but I tried making this with extra vegetable twist, she loved every bit of it!

There you go easy peasy upma recipe for y’ll,

Ingredients : Semolina or rawa (1 cup)
One large onion (finely chopped)
One tomato (chopped too)
Green peas
Mustard seeds
Two green chillies chopped
Handful of curry leaves
Cashews and almonds roasted in Ghee
Mint and coriander leaves for garnish!

Procedure : Take a pan, dry roast semolina or rawa until it turns out to be light brown, switch off the flame and keep it aside. Take a sauce pan, add mustard seeds in ghee..when they spluttering add curry leaves, green chillies and chopped onion. Let it cook, until the onions become light golden in colour, quickly add chopped tomatoes and other vegetables if you want to ( I added green peas). Add a little water and let the veggies cook a little, then add roasted semolina and keep adding water to it so that it doesn’t form lumps. Let it cook for few minutes on low flame.

Garnish with fried almonds and cashews, coriander and serve hot with ghee or butter!

Do give it a try to this easy recipe, am sure your kids will love it!
