We didn't have time today and wanted some quick and healthy breakfast. Also wanted to finish all fruits at home so made this fruit chat with tamarind dates chatni which can be eaten in fasts as we made it few days back with sendha salt to go with many dishes.
I have chopped fruits like apples, banana, papaya, grapes and leftover melon

and mixed everything with tamarind dates chatni.
Ingredients for tamarind dates chatni
2 cups tamarind paste (used mother's recipe; tamarind paste)

1/2 cup grated gud or jaggery

1/2 cup chopped dates

2 tea spoon sendha salt

1 tea spoon red chilli powder

1 tea spoon saunth (ginger powder)

1 table spoon freshly roasted and grinded zeera made into coarse powder

Water for cooking
Method
1. In a kadai with heavy bottom add 2 cups water and gud and on simmer, let gud melt.
2. Then add tamarind paste, dates and all other ingredients and mix well. Keep stirring on simmer till mixture becomes thick like chatni.
3. Let it cool completely and then store in a glass bottle in fridge.
Serve it with any snack or make chat.
