#vratkakhaana Malaanji During fasts of any kind and specially when it is for many days, one mostly gets fed up by eating too much oily food and even sweets...so this is one recipe my mom makes in summer Navratri which is yummy,; healthy, full of fibre and hydration and made of raw mangoes. We made this today. Its called Malaanji . You can have it anytime and it is specially good in summers as keeps the body cool and helps in digestion and raising appetite. Giid for pregnant women too Recipe for Malanji Ingredients (makes 5-6 servings) 3-4 medium sized raw mangoes (kachchi keri)
3-4 table spoon; jaggery (gud)
Sendha Salt (vrat ka namak) to taste
1 tea spoon bhuna zeera powder
1/2 tea spoon pepper powder;
1 tea spoon Mint powder or finely chopped mint leaves. Method 1. Wash the raw mangoes and in a cooker
Add them and water just to cover them. On simmer give 2-3 whistles and once steam is out take them out. 2. Take out the pulp and even gutli in a bowl and when warm and add all other ingredients and mix well. 3. Now cool this in fridge and enjoy this khatta - meetha delight.
