We all know that snacking between meals isn’t healthy. This is a real problem with kids as most of the time their snacks are unhealthy (chips, cookies, chocolates, etc) and also, their tummy gets full real fast due to which they compromise on their meal. This when continued in long term can lead to nutrient deficiency, lack of steady and healthy weight gain, fatigue, and other related problems.
One easy to deal with this is by sticking to mealtimes and including some amount of their favourite snack in their meals. Setting a fixed mealtime will make your kids come to the table when hungry. On the other hand, including some amount of snack in the meal makes them happy and also encourages them to eat the healthy options in their meal without showing many tantrums.
Note: Make sure your kid is adequately hydrated between the meals.
