We built it all with our hands and hard earned money which is why it is so precious 💕
.
We moved to the new city some 14 years ago with dreams, aspirations and no map to move forward. I was 19 with boisterous dreams and just out of the cocoon that I was raised in.
.
.
From customer service to sales and from human resources to finance department, I have seen and experienced the corporate world for more than a decade.
.
.
Have experienced the days when I had 200/- in account and 6 days to go in a month but my self- respect won't let me take money from dad. From night shift/graveyard shift to 15 hours job schedule...it was never served on a silver plate.
.
The first day I bought grocery on my own after moving to this city, i realised how dumb I was, the day I went to ATM to take the salary out, i realised what adrenaline rush meant, the day I bought a gift for my siblings I realised what hapiness meant...
.
From curtains to that cute coffee mug, from broom to that vintage set, I picked it all with my hands. We planned and saved for materialistic things and made memories when we bought it...from our first car to house and from the cancelled vacation to succesful trips ,each has a story of its own.
.
.
I don't know if you can connect with it or not but I can see things in my house and can travel through memory lane of how it became a part of this HOME.
.
Today, if i have to tell something to my younger self it definitely would be:
.
"Life never goes as per our plan but it definitely is all the more beautiful when it comes as a surprise" 💕 .
