We worship krishna as the 8th avatar lord Vishnu. We call him by many names. I became a huge fan of lord Krishna, specially after i had my son, as a character portrayed in indian mythology - the charming, naughty, mischievous boy ( in my language a typical toddler😋) to the wise man. May be it was the result of the way our TV shows and movies has been portraying him. I get stuck in small things or fear to land up in stucking so often and i think thats the common phenomenon or day to day experience. The worst fear of all is with my child. But when i think of the Lord Krishna, i think i can gift 'his GEETA' as a 'manual of life to my son'... ❤He is the personification of a true friend, true lover and a true guide, more than a god.
❤Perfectly imperfect as a baby krishna. Softhearted, compassionate, with lots of sense of humour.
❤ His relationship with sudama shows the eternal and devine bond of friendship between man and a god.
❤ His saved draupadi's grace. I was the true mentor for Arjuna.
❤He killed his own cousin. Trivked Kal Yavan and jaydratha into their death.
❤He loved everyone from yashoda, devaki to cows, Buffalos. Never heard story of him being angry. Their are so many stories about his chillax personality. We worship gods who supposed to be protecting Dharma and Dharma means. But in the simplest language , Krishna gave us the practical solutions. When i was pregnant, me and my husband had decided one thing before we even thought of our child's name...we decided not to celebrate his birthday in a typical way. Rather, we will donate the same or more amount of money. I dont know whether it was an affection towards lord Krishna, We decided to donate to 'Akshaya Patra'. Its an initiative of ISKON Bangalore, which feeds mid day meal to over 1.6 million children of government school across the country!! It feels really great to be a part of such thing!!! May Lord Krishna come to your house and takes away all your Makhan & Mishri with all your worries and sorrows.
